Organic Health Magazine

I was asked to design an illustration for an article from a health magazine, I chose an artical called ‘The Health in Friends’ by Wayne Thompson from ‘Organic Health Magazine’. The article outlines links between a person’s group of friends and their physical and social health. Some interesting links were made such as those with few relationships tend to be at much higher risk for disease or death than those who have strong ties with friends or family, and being able to confide in a close friend helps reduce the strain of daily hassles.

The illustration depicts three friends in the park with “magical health hallows” above their head portraying the positive benefits they are receiving in their meeting ("The magic of friendship").
The illustration style is commonly used in 'health and life style' magazenes... I was keen to try it.
