Earth One

As people are become increasingly educated about issues like global warming there is an increasing market for environmentally friendly products. ‘Earthone’ is a Retail outlet that sells eco-friendly products for everyday living. Unlike most retail stalls Earthone also serves as a space were people and activists can view and leave pamphlets, posters, booklets, protests dates, and projects about environmental issues for the general public.

The people who visit Earthone have an interest in the environment and creating an environmentally sustainable future. Located in the city centre the store does not hide itself from the public eye, with its bright fluorescent colours and collaged walls.

The store invites all ages but mainly focus on attracting people from the ages 15 – 35.
Placing a lot of importance on its modern fresh layout it also tries to change the preconception that only hippies buy environmentally sustainable products.

I understand that by printing 1000 promotional pamphlets for an eco stall seems a bit two-faced but the idea behind the open day pamphlet was to have something that people wouldn’t just be through away, Earthone hopes receivers will rather use them for decoration, or simply keep it as a piece of art.

The pamphlet would be handed out on the streets close to the shop, and around areas were Earthone expects there target audience to mix, such as particular venues and cafés. Because of their convenient hand held size they can be distributed and pocketed conveniently.
