I'm not sure if this technique is used much, I guess its cheating. Behind a large canvas I placed some of my favourit plants and shone a spot light on them creating a silhouette, then using acrylics I traced the plants from the front, it looked beautiful capturing the delicacy shape of the plants, visitors often question who did the piece not knowing it was traced.
